Aromatherapy, this ancient method which makes the most of essential oils, is nowadays a source of calmness and pleasure. It is an indulgence in our daily routine but also a new perception of life.

Aromatherapy dates back to the centuries, long before pieces of writing existed. It is believed that simple methods of distillation had been used in Persia, India and Egypt since 3000 BC and the ancient Chinese were aware of the secrets of aromatherapy. It appears that they were the first to study the therapeutic properties of plants and they accompanied the traditional therapy sessions of acupuncture and massage with the use of oils. The ancient Greeks, the Romans, the Assyrians  as well as the Phoenicians had been involved with the fragrant properties of plants.

In aromatherapy we also use plant oils – foundations. These are used on their own or alongside with essential oils. Some of the plant oils, which contain vitamins A, B, E and D, are almond oil, avocado oil, calendula, grape seed oil, and more. The oil – foundation we use is 100% pure.

Essential oils are dissolved in some of the plant oils or in neutral cream and the massage is performed softly and always with circular clockwise movements. The molecules of the oils are transferred through the skin to the blood and then to the brain resulting in stimulation of the different systems of the body.

Essential oils most commonly used are:

  • Jasmine:
  • Cinnamon
  • Cedar
  • Lavender
  • Bergamot
  • Rose
  • Sandalwood
  • Ylang – ylang
